Survival from Cardiac Arrest

It’s estimated that more than 95 percent of cardiac arrest victims die before reaching the hospital (from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest).

A victim’s chances of survival are reduced by 7 to 10 percent with every minute that passes without CPR and defibrillation.  Few attempts at resuscitation succeed after 10 minutes.

CPR Slogans, Save a Life, etc.

In the early 1970’s, the NHTSA used to have signs on the highway “Drive Carefully, the Life You Save May Be Your Own”.   One of our slogans is similar – “Learn CPR, the Life You Save May Be A Family Member”.
